There’s a new anti-gay marriage ad out there, and it is terrifying.
I’m not scared of the storm. I’m scared of NOM. I’m scared of their bad actors (and they are actors. See their audition reels here. Thanks, QT!). I’m scared of their bad writing (ex- “There’s a storm gathering. The clouds are dark, and the wind is strong. And I am afraid.” You are afraid of weddings? Seriously?). But most of all, I’m scared of their message of hate and discrimination.
You know what I think of when I think of NOM?
A lot less scary than some crap a dark storm and a bunch of lies (click that link and read what HRC says.), don’t you think?

People do retain the right to oppose gay marriage.
Of course, Fish. But I would hope that they could do so without reckless fear-mongering.
Umm… What freedom would they be taking away? And what does the doctor in California have to do with anything? I don’t get this stuff…. I really really don’t get it. Are they afraid that they will lose their freedom to hate? Ughh.
One, it took you long enough to catch up on the very good marriage equality news from Iowa, Vermont and DC. But I forgive you because you girls are absolutely awesome. Two, that add has had me with a two day headache.
Oh Carlos we have been paying attention, and I’m sorry the blog hasn’t reflected that! I have been busy in sunny Santa Barbara trying to eat as much Mexican food and sushi as my body can handle.
But HOORAY for Iowa and Vermont and DC….good news all around. Just invite us to your wedding one day, okay? We’ll liveblog that shit.
