palin wants to be on top.

On top of the ticket, that is.  Here she is at a rally yesterday talking about “a Palin and McCain Administration”.  Errr…ummm…pssst, Sarah.  Sarah?  When you are running for the number two spot (God save us all), you usually put the presidential nominee’s name first and then your own.  It’s just common courtesy.

How tacky.

tina fey is palin on snl!

The woman who made wearing glasses sexy is back.  Tina Fey, I love you.  And now she is back on SNL as highly under-qualified Alaska Governor Sarah Palin–and she’s great at it.  Even the obnoxious accent is right.  Enjoy.

i’d choose barbie over sarah palin.

Oh wooohoooo.  Now you can buy a Superhero Sarah Palin doll.  Umm, that’s great.  Since this election is no longer about issues and rather that Palin is a Vagina-American and is hot in the Tina Fey way, let’s be superficial for a minute.  Who wants a supposedly feminine doll with G.I. Joe man thighs?  Come on guys, Barbie’s got better legs for sure.

See?

Intimidated by the Thunder Thighs Palin doll?  (Yeah, me too) Try this one–naughty school girl Sarah Palin.

Yet again, I’d choose Barbie.  Or better yet, the one responsible for bringing back the naughty school girl image–the one and only, Britney Spears doll.

Yup, she’s better than Palin too.

Here is the final Sarah Palin doll the company, http://www.herobulder.com, offers.  Vice Presidential Sarah Palin:

Well, Barbie one-upped Sarah Palin in two ways here.  First, Barbie is running for Prez and second, Barbie looks FABULOUS.

That was fun, but let’s take it back to the issues.  I bet Barbie would stand up for the rights of women more than Palin.  I bet Barbie would support birth control and a woman’s privacy, I bet Barbie wouldn’t make women pay for their own rape kits, I bet Barbie wouldn’t make Skipper have the baby even if she was raped, I bet Barbie wouldn’t be on a ticket with Ken if he didn’t support equal pay for women…okay…you get my point.

Really, I’d take Barbie over Sarah Palin.

Oh, and one more thing.  These dolls are on sale.

youtube clip of today: palin kids.

Piper, girrrrrrrrrrrl I know how you feel.  I play with hair when I’m listening to boring speeches too.  But I typically do not use spit.  Whatev.

Watching this video, you kind of have to say “awwww”.  It’s really not those poor Palin children’s fault that their mother is an embarrassment to politics.

samantha bee stings governor sarah palin.

As much as I want to, I can’t really hate Sarah Palin–oh don’t get me wrong–this has nothing to do with the bonds of sisterhood. I absolutely ABHOR her positions on, well, everything.  And her early 90s mall girl bangs. But she is so much fun to write about and make fun of that I can’t help but be slightly appreciative of her very existence.  And I’m not alone.  It’s like John McCain took his happy pills and threw us all a softball.  And leave it up to All-Star Jon Stewart to hit it out of the park.  Jon Stewart, you are my hero.

So watch this clip with Jon and Samantha Bee, a self described “Vagina-American” (HAHA!), as she oh-so-sarcastically talks about why she’ll vote for McCain.  You will for sure pick up some new anatomical terminology as well.  (I’m talking about lady parts.  Teehee.)

Huzzah!

And here is some more Daily Show goodness, brought to my attention by Alicia, our South Korea correspondent.  What a warm/appropriate welcome for the RNCers!

PS- I promise I’ll start writing about non-political stuff (aka NOT Sarah Palin) again…

best of luck against biden, sarah.

Take a look at this New York Times breakdown of the VP candidates’ positions on the issues. I think it says a lot about Sarah Palin that half of her positions aren’t even filled in. Guess being well-versed in the issues that a national leader deals with wasn’t something that McCain was looking for in his VP choice.

Also, Palin’s children are named Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper, and Trig. Um, that’s just weird. The youngest son, Trig, has Down syndrome, a fact that Palin has used to bolster her pro-life beliefs. Of course it takes a strong and compassionate person to raise a child with Down’s, but one commenter on Timothy Egan’s opinion article about Palin made a good point: “She’s a woman governor with a newborn. How motherly is that? Who exactly is caring for her child?” And maybe that’s a little harsh, but if she’s going to be exploiting that fact to paint herself as a such a nurturing and relatable woman and mother, it’s worth thinking about. I can’t imagine she’d be doing a ton of hands-on parenting if she held the second-highest office in the country.

McCain’s going to need all the luck he can get.

hillary should be mad at sarah.

In a blatant attempt to bring in the female vote, Sarah Palin, in her acceptance speech, tied herself to Democrats Geraldine Ferraro and Hillary Clinton simply because she is a woman.

Sarah Palin undercut Geraldine Ferraro and Hillary Clinton by acknowledging them only as women, and not as brillliant minds with bright ideas. Shame on her. The thing about Hillary is that she was proud about being a woman, but she became frustrated when that was all people talked about. Hillary Clinton stands for women’s rights and women’s choice. McCain voted against equal pay for women. McCain voted against funding for victims of domestic violence. I could go on and on. If gender is your big issue, then just know that this man votes against women. And Sarah Palin is standing right next to him.

I can’t wait for Hillary’s statement.

sarah palin is mccain’s vp choice.

Interesting choice McCain. Sarah Palin is the governor of Alaska. And it’s so blatantly obvious that you’re fishing for Hilllllllz voters. But remember that sexism that Hillary faced? Yup. You’re going to alienate some of your base. Oh, and remember how you criticized Barack for being young and inexperienced? She hasn’t finished her first term as governor as Alaska. Hmmm. Is she ready to lead? Let the hypocrisy begin.

Okay, I chose a bad picture.

So she is kind of hot in that Tina Fey way. But Sarah Palin, I’d rather see Tina Fey in the White House than you. And Tina would never have those heinous bangs.

One last thought. If I were her, I’d be a little insulted. Because they don’t want her because of her, they chose her because she’s a woman and they’re aching to take away from Barack’s thunder.
